I received an email from a business owner on the Miami River out of the blue today and I made him a screen capture of the Imaging the Miami River project which was the result of our work there. It only captures a very small segment of the content. The original is, of course, interactive and is still shown in gallery and museum exhibitions around the world.
It seemed like a good time to acknowledge the legacy of Imaging Belfast and see if we can’t finds some correlations between the two projects. One thing to remember is that the Miami River work was started in 1997, although this version is dated 2003. This was well before Google bought Keykole Inc. the precursor to Google Earth and Google Maps. Google Street View appeared the year following an exhibition of the Imaging Place work, including the Miami River project, in Lowell where I met an executive from Google at the opening.
Here are some relevant links. For those who may be new to this work.
Place and the Electrate Situation, William Tilson and John Craig Freeman.

Excellent dimension to add to the blog. Having this genealogy available makes it possible to reflect on and extend “choragraphy” as an electrate development of psychogeography and related practices.
